2025 was a year of consolidation and clarity for Kaltimber. More than growth for growth’s sake, it was about strengthening what we stand for: supplying genuine reclaimed ironwood decking and flooring, earning trust across the industry, and taking responsibility for the material we work with — past, present, and future.
Highlights include major projects we have collaborated with, a new CSR partnership, and a major design award.
Reclaimed Ironwood, Proven in Real Projects
Throughout 2025, architects, contractors, and private homeowners continued to choose Kaltimber for one key reason: trust. Trust that our ironwood is genuinely reclaimed, responsibly sourced from structures slated for demolition, and processed with care to meet the technical and aesthetic expectations of demanding projects.
From private residences to hospitality and landscape applications, reclaimed Ulin remained at the core of our work. Its durability, weather resistance, and character make it particularly suited for outdoor decking and flooring — and its history gives each project a depth that new materials simply cannot replicate.
This balance between performance and authenticity is what defines Kaltimber’s role in sustainable architecture: not as a concept supplier, but as a reliable material partner.
Giving Back to the Forests: Kaltimber x Replant World
In 2025, Kaltimber took an important step forward by launching a CSR program in partnership with Replant World, focused on the regeneration of Ironwood (Ulin) forests in Kalimantan.
While Kaltimber does not harvest wood, we believe that working with reclaimed ironwood also comes with a responsibility to support the ecosystems and communities connected to it. Through this partnership, Kaltimber contributes to the planting and long-term care of ironwood trees, working alongside local communities and forest stewards.
This initiative reinforces a simple principle: reclaimed wood is not just about reuse — it’s about closing the loop and contributing to a future where forests can recover and endure.
Recognition at JIA CURATED 2025
Another highlight of the year was JIA CURATED 2025, where Kaltimber participated alongside sister companies and partners in an installation that showcased the life cycle of reclaimed wood.
The booth presented ironwood not as a static product, but as a material with a past and a future — from old structures to refined decking and flooring used in contemporary architecture. This collaborative approach resonated strongly with visitors and professionals alike.
We were honored to receive the Best Booth Award at JIA CURATED 2025, a recognition that affirmed not only the design of the installation, but the clarity of the message behind it: reclaimed materials, when handled with integrity, belong at the heart of modern design.
A Year Built on Relationships
Above all, 2025 reaffirmed that Kaltimber’s strength lies in relationships — with architects who specify our materials, contractors who install them, and homeowners who live with them every day.
Reclaimed ironwood demands experience, transparency, and consistency. The trust placed in Kaltimber by professionals and private clients alike is something we value deeply, and never take for granted.
Looking Ahead
As we move into 2026, our focus remains unchanged: delivering authentic reclaimed ironwood decking and flooring, supporting responsible practices beyond sourcing, and continuing to work closely with the people who shape the built environment.
Old wood still has many stories to tell — and we’re proud to help give them a new place in contemporary architecture.
In other words, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
